Re: Twilight. I have to agree about the negative influence of the bimbo message. Have you seen the ads for Paris Hilton’s British TV show?
Re: Schmeat. I would be suspicious of anything so “lab-produced”. Memories flooding to mind of the time we prepared soap in chemistry, and found our achievement quite capable of eating into the lab bench.
Re: Lightsabres. I think lightsabres would be kind of dangerous. Anything with the glowing hot whiteness of such would make quite a good sunbed, cancer and all. Not to mention the ample opportunities of severing parts of self, when the heat would be sure to seal the wound, and I can’t see that helping reattachment.
Re: Lithuania: The registrar will probably confiscated the domain and give it the anti-piracy crowd. Something similar happened in the states a while back.

1) She has a TV show now? Oh dear…. Link? Might talk about it next week
2) There are some days I wish I had taken up chemistry… Most of them are soon eclipsed by thought that I can’t do chemistry to save my life.
3) Course they would be dangerous! But only in a cauterizing type of way!
4) Yea, I suppose so. It is still hilarious though. “This is not the first time that an anti-piracy organization has had a domain dispute with a BitTorrent site. October last year The Pirate Bay got hold of the domain name of IFPI, under which they wanted to launch the “International Federation of Pirate Interests.” The case was later lost by The Pirate Bay, but the fact that they acquired it in the first place is yet another example of the tech illiteracy of these organizations.”

Schmeat sounds more like a food from I Robot (the book not the movie) than Soylent Green. It can’t be worse than most soy products. The main thing that might stop me from trying it is PETA thinking it is a good idea.
