I never said that it was a good thing. It is a very bad thing that they are doing. However, look at it from the side of the people working in ISPs who disagree with it.

Would YOU directly oppose your boss and refuse to do what you are asked to do in your job?

A fair few of the ISPs are actually openly against this development. While I obviously can’t give any more info about the person who is in contact with me, I’m sure that many of the high power people in the all the ISPs are against this. The thing is they will just get sued into oblivion if they don’t agree.

so the isps are saying we really don’t want to do this, but then they’re going to do protesting all the way, but still doing it.

when it comes down to it they won’t do the right thing, look at the US telcos.
